We Need Your Help!
NAMI McLeod County is looking for individuals who share our desire to raise awareness and support people with mental illness, their families and friends.

Board Members
We are looking for board members to help guide and implement our mission.

Support Group Leaders

NAMI McLeod County is looking for compassionate and dependable individuals to help facilitate peer-led support groups for families/partners/spouses of people with mental illness.

NAMI support groups are unique spaces that are about finding strength in a community of peers, instead of counseling others or providing therapy.

Support groups help participants build awareness, understanding and connect with others in their community who face similar experiences. Facilitators maintain a culturally affirming, private and confidential setting as they guide group members in sharing challenges, successes, and opportunities to learn from one another. Support group Facilitators must identify as living with a mental illness, or having a family member who does. They must be able to commit for at least 1 year of volunteering, leading groups for 1.5 hours weekly or twice a month and complete a two day training.

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the below form.
